Industrial Safety & Rescue provides hands-on confined space rescue training and confined space entry training for organizations throughout Massachusetts. Our training is designed to help employees understand confined space hazards, follow proper entry procedures, and prepare for situations where an effective rescue response may be required.
Training is available at our fully equipped facility in Westwood, Massachusetts, or onsite at qualified client locations. Our instructors bring real-world rescue and field experience into every course, helping participants develop practical skills they can apply in industrial environments.
Confined Space Entry Training for Massachusetts Teams
Effective confined space safety begins before anyone enters the space. Our confined space entry training courses help employees understand the hazards associated with confined spaces and the procedures required to manage those risks.
Our Level 1 Confined Space Entry Training is an 8-hour introductory course covering:
- Confined space definitions and classifications
- Hazard identification and communication
- Entrant, attendant, and supervisor responsibilities
- Entry permits and jobsite documentation
- Atmospheric monitoring and ventilation
- PPE requirements and selection
- Emergency preparedness and rescue planning
- Hands-on use of confined space entry equipment
For employees with supervisory or rescue responsibilities, our Level 2 course builds on these fundamentals with advanced instruction in hazard control, atmospheric monitoring, rescue procedures, and decision-making during confined space incidents.
Hands-On Confined Space Rescue Training
Confined space emergencies can require teams to make critical decisions quickly. Our confined space rescue training focuses on preparing participants for the challenges they may encounter during an actual response.
Depending on the course, participants may receive instruction in non-entry and entry-based rescue procedures, hazard mitigation, ventilation strategies, PPE selection, and response to engulfment, entrapment, and other physical hazards. Hands-on exercises allow teams to practice procedures in realistic scenarios rather than relying solely on classroom instruction.
Our goal is to help Massachusetts organizations build teams that understand not only what confined space procedures require, but how to apply them when conditions become challenging.
Confined Space Training Courses and Certification
Industrial Safety & Rescue offers confined space training courses and certification options for employees with different responsibilities and levels of experience. Each participant completes an instructor-led evaluation and must demonstrate the required performance standards.
Participants who successfully complete their course receive a wallet card and supporting documentation that can assist with internal compliance and training records.
Because confined space procedures involve skills that need to remain familiar, we also recommend periodic refresher and recertification training to reinforce knowledge and maintain readiness.
